About the Academic Council

The Academic Council will be the principal academic body of MS Digital University, to be constituted in accordance with the university's statutes upon receipt of statutory approvals. It will be responsible for maintaining, coordinating, and elevating the standards of all academic work — teaching, learning, research, and examinations — across every school, programme, and delivery mode.

Chaired by the Founder, the Council will bring together senior faculty, programme chairs, external academicians, and subject experts. Its recommendations will shape everything from curriculum design and assessment policies to research priorities and quality assurance frameworks — always with the learner's success at the centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Approve and review all academic programmes, curricula, and syllabi
  • Define standards for teaching, learning, and assessment across the university
  • Recommend policies for academic quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the design and review of examinations, evaluation, and grading systems
  • Promote research, innovation, and inter-disciplinary academic initiatives
  • Approve the academic calendar, credit structure, and learner pathways
  • Recommend award of degrees, diplomas, and certificates to the Board of Management
  • Ensure alignment with UGC regulations and NEP 2020 academic frameworks once approvals are in place
