Examination Framework

Once operational, all MSDU examinations will be conducted in line with UGC's ODL & Online Programmes Regulations, 2020. The grading will follow the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) and will be aligned with NEP 2020 — credits earned can be deposited in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).

Continuous internal assessment will carry 30% weight; term-end examinations will carry the remaining 70%. A minimum of 40% in each component will be required to pass.

Types of Examinations

Term-end Examinations

Held at the end of every semester. Conducted online with AI proctoring through the secure browser. Question papers are subjective + objective.

Continuous Assessment

Weekly assignments, MCQ quizzes, and discussion-board contributions account for 30% of the final grade. Ongoing throughout the semester.

Practical / Project Work

Live virtual labs, project submissions, and viva-voce sessions for technical and research-oriented programmes.

Re-examinations

Held within 60 days of result publication for backlog or improvement candidates. Apply via the LMS.

Exam-Day Guidelines

  • Ensure stable internet (minimum 2 Mbps), webcam, and microphone are working before the exam
  • Use a quiet, well-lit room — Argus AI flags multiple faces, mobile phones, or excessive background noise
  • Government photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport / Driving Licence) is mandatory for identity verification
  • Secure browser (Argus) must be installed and active throughout the exam window
  • Tab switching, screen sharing, and external screens are disabled — closing the browser ends the exam
  • Submit your paper before the timer ends; auto-submission triggers at the end of the slot

Results & Marksheets

  • Provisional results will be published on the LMS within 30 days of the last paper.
  • Digitally signed semester-wise marksheets will be uploaded to the student dashboard.
  • Re-evaluation window will open for 15 days after result publication (₹500 per paper).
  • Final degree certificate will be issued at the convocation following programme completion.

Academic Integrity

Any attempt to malpractice — including using unauthorised material, impersonation, or AI-generated answers — leads to immediate cancellation of the paper and may result in debarment as per the Code of Conduct.

Results Portal
